Five suspects in Police custody for alleged rape of teenagers in Ondo

FIVE suspected rapists, including a popular businessman in Ondo town, Bode Akinsiku, have been arrested by men of the state police command for allegedly raping, torturing and recording of the acts while taking two teenagers.

Other suspects arrested by the police included Olabanji Femi, Abiodun Ayodele, Fadairo Wahab and Adedayo Adebayo, who allegedly posted the act on their facebook page.

Nigerian Tribune gathered that suspects invited about four girls to a birthday party but the girls realised that there was no birthday party while the suspects descended on them.

According to one of the victim, two of them escaped in the process but stated that she was unlucky, saying the five men overpowered them, stripped them naked before having unlawful sexual intercourse with them.

She explained that they were tortured, beaten and had to succumb after series of beaten while the suspects took turns to rape them one after the other.

She said ” They tore would clothes and seized our bags and phones and started recording us as they rape us one after the other. They equally threatened to take us to the street naked, but we begged to allow us to go he after the incident.

The state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) Femi Joseph, who confirmed the development, described it as barbaric and said the suspects had been arrested.

Joseph said the suspects would be charged to the court after the investigation but warned parents to monitor their wards.
