Five quick facts about birth of Nonuplet by Nigerian mother

Trending pictures of a Cameroon-based Nigerian mother of Nonuplets (9 babies), Mrs. Obianuju Anthonia Ibeanu, and her children, have continued to elicit reactions on social media.

However, only a few details are known about the miraculous birth of these children.

In one of the interviews granted by the Nonuplet mother, when asked if she would like to give birth to more children after the Nonuplets plus the two children she had earlier, speaking in Pidgin, she said, “No, I don tell Pa (my husband) say he go find his own place. Na plenty work, e dey shakala (sic) my head. I no want am again. I don beg God say God take am give people wey wan am abeg.”

3. The babies were delivered in Nigeria but have since been relocated to Douala, Cameroon, where their parents reside.

5. Contrary to rumors that the mother of the babies had been barren for 25 years before their birth, she had previously given birth to twins, making the total number of her children 11.
