A five-month-old baby of a broadcast journalist, Al-Ameen Odunsi, requires N10 million to undergo heart surgery.
Echocardiography showed a complete atrioventricular canal defect with moderate pulmonary hypertension.
According to a medical report signed by Dr Majiyagbe Omotola, a Consultant Paediatrician at Massey Street Children’s Hospital, Lagos, Al-Ameen needs further cardiovascular evaluation and surgical correction of the cardiac defect to prevent life-threatening complications.
The five-month-old baby is the son of Taofeeq Odunsi, a Principal News  Producer at Voice of Nigeria (VON).
The parents, Mr and Mrs Odunsi have been in and out of hospitals in the last few days for medical appointments, as efforts are being made to drain fluid in the heart of Al-Ameen in the coming days.
Baby Al-Ameen is expected to undergo heart surgery at the Evercare Hospital Lekki, Lagos, as soon as the fund is raised.
“I solicit the support of Nigerians, Corporate Organisations, as well as Philanthropists to come to the rescue of Al-Ameen so that he can be given a chance to live like any other child and be reunited with his family,” he appealed.
Please donate generously into the father’s account details below Account Name: Odunsi Taofeeq Olasubomi; Account Number-0046902167; Bank: Gtbank. Please, contact  Mr. Taofeeq Odunsi on 08028109497.
