Award-winning Afrobeats star, Fireboy, delivered a captivating performance at the Royal Albert Hall in London on Wednesday.
The concert, which kicked off the tour of his fourth album ‘Adedamola’, featured a setlist of his hit singles, including tracks with guest appearances from Grammy-nominated Afrobeat star Seun Kuti and legendary Nigerian musician Lagbaja.
Fireboy’s showmanship was on full display, reminding fans of his impressive stage presence. Fast-rising Afrobeats stars Fola and Ayo Maff opened for Fireboy, setting the tone for an unforgettable night.
The concert was a testament to Fireboy’s rising super stardom, which began with his début album ‘Laughter, Tears, and Goosebumps’ in 2019.
The highlight of Fireboy’s career so far has been the massive success of his third album ‘Playboy’, which featured the hit single ‘Peru’.
The song’s remix with British megastar Ed Sheeran catapulted Fireboy to global stardom, making him the first Afrobeats artist to perform at Wembley Stadium’s main event and the BET Awards main stage.
Following his Royal Albert Hall concert, Fireboy was presented with a plaque recognizing his achievement as a headliner at the iconic venue. He joins an esteemed list of artists, including Wizkid, Adele, Elton John, Rihanna, and Ed Sheeran, who have graced the Royal Albert Hall stage.
