Properties worth millions of naira have been destroyed in another fire incident that razed a one-storey building at Inalende area in Ibadan North West local government area late Thursday night.
Six out of the twelve rooms at the upper floor were destroyed.
The incident, according to an eyewitness account was traceable to a power surge.
“Six rooms were seriously affected. And we thank God that the state fire fighters arrived in time, it would have been more than that,” the eyewitness stated.

Confirming the incident to our correspondent in Ibadan, the General Manager of the Fire Service, Yemi Akinyinka, said the agency received distress calls on Thursday night and Friday morning, respectively, and prompt arrival of his men saved property worth billions of naira.
Akinyinka said, “The agency received a distress call and immediate action was taken.
Six out of 12 rooms at the upper floor of the building were affected by the inferno. No live was lost. Property worth millions of naira were lost into the inferno while property worth billions of naira were also saved.”
