Kano State Fire Service has confirmed that an early fire on Wednesday, razed down 37 shops, while property worth millions were also consumed by the inferno at Zawaciki in Kumbotso local government area of the state
According to the Kano State Fire Service Public Relations Officer (PRO), Saminu Abdullahi disclosed that the ugly incident occurred at 1:37 a.m. on Wednesday.
“We received a distress call at about 1:37 a.m. from one Malam Baba that there was a fire outbreak at Zawaciki, he said.

He further stated that the 37 shops were on the ground floor of a multi-purpose building.
Abdullahi hinted that the fire slightly damaged three other shops.
He said that no life was lost, and the cause of the fire was being investigated.
