Finlogic CEO, Joseph Afolabi, awarded United Nations Distinguished Ambassador for World Peace

Joseph Afolabi, the CEO of Finlogic Nigeria Limited, has been awarded the title of Ambassador for Peace and Positive Living (AMBP-UN) by the United Nations Peace and Positive Living Awareness Centre.

The award, which aligns with UNESCO’s Culture of Peace projects, acknowledges his unwavering dedication to promoting peace, sustainability, and positive living in both his professional and personal life.

Joseph’s journey in the financial and technology sectors has been nothing short of extraordinary. Starting his career as an intern and eventually becoming the CEO of Finlogic, his rise to prominence exemplifies leadership and resilience.

Finlogic, a company that specializes in the exchange of Naira and Chinese yuan, has seen rapid growth under his leadership. Despite his business successes, Joseph’s focus has always been on how he can use his influence to promote positive social change. “This recognition is not just for me, but for everyone committed to creating a more peaceful and sustainable world,” he said upon receiving the award.

The United Nations Peace and Positive Living Awareness Centre focuses on promoting sustainable development and peace across the globe. Joseph’s commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and his ongoing support of youth empowerment initiatives made him an ideal candidate for this prestigious honor.

“Sustainability and peace go hand in hand. If we focus on improving lives, we are building a foundation for long-term peace,” Joseph remarked during the award ceremony.

His efforts align with UNESCO’s Culture of Peace program, which emphasises dialogue, education, and sustainable development as key pillars for creating a peaceful global society. In his new role as an AMBP-UN, Joseph plans to expand his work in promoting financial literacy and economic empowerment, particularly in underdeveloped regions. “Access to financial resources and education can transform communities, and I’m committed to helping achieve that transformation,” he added.

As Joseph takes on this new responsibility, his commitment to peace and positive living is expected to have a far-reaching impact. His vision of a world where business and social responsibility coexist harmoniously continues to inspire many within and outside of his industry.
