Filmmaker kills woman friend, self in Lagos

The police in Lagos State have commenced investigations into the circumstances surrounding the deaths of a filmmaker, Adebayo Adeseko, and his girlfriend in the Ojodu area of Lagos State.

Adeseko was reported to have taken his own life after allegedly killing his girlfriend following a disagreement between them on Sunday.

Benjamin Hundeyin, the image maker in charge of the state police command, confirmed the incident to the Nigerian Tribune.

Hundeyin stated that the corpses of the deceased had been deposited at the mortuary for autopsy.

He elaborated, “On 04/02/24 at about 09:10 hours, a man from Ojodu came to the station and reported that the lifeless bodies of one Adebayo Adeseko, male, aged 30, and his partner, Mrs Adesanya Sarah, female, aged 36, both of the same address, were found in their apartment at 3b Gbete Street off Shoyemi Bamako Estate, Ojodu Berger, Lagos State.”

Upon receiving this information, the DPO in charge of Ojodu police station promptly led a team of policemen to the scene, Hundeyin added.

He further noted, “Photographs were taken. Corpses were evacuated and deposited at the mortuary for autopsy.”
