“Anytime I deny my husband sex, he would turn the issue into a fight. I am tired of our marriage,” the mother of three told the court.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Loveth had approached the court seeking the dissolution of her marriage to her husband, Olarewaju Adeniji, on the grounds of lack of love and frequent fights.
Other reasons presented by the plaintiff are lack of care for her and the children as well as disrespect to her family members by her husband.
The petitioner said the marriage which was contracted in a church on December 14, 2002, is blessed with three children of between ages 10 and 14.
She told the court that her husband accused her of having extra-marital affairs.
“I have reported my husband at two different police stations for always beating me.
“The day I was roofing my house, my husband visited the site, beat and left me with injuries,” she said.
She added that her husband was not bother about the children’s welfare and education.
Loveth also accused her husband of preventing her family members from visiting her.
“I urge the court to dissolve our marriage because there is no more love between us.”
The court president, Mr Joseph Ogunsemi, adjourned the case till October 10 for further hearing.
