Fighting party groups by Oyo APC is act of frustration ― Oyo APC reformers

Published by

A political group, the Oyo APC Reformer, has stated that any efforts on the part of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the state to raise issues with groups under the party is an act of frustration and an indication that they do not know what their priority should be at this point in time.

The Chairman of the group, Hon Jide Adewale and the Publicity Secretary, Engr Dipo Fawole, made this known in Ibadan on Sunday, in reaction to a statement credited to the State Publicity Secretary of APC in Oyo State, Dr AbdulAzeez Olatunde, stating that the party will deal with splinter groups.

Hon Adewale stated that such statements can only be as a result of frustration adding that the group understands the situation and has empathy for the leadership of the party considering the imminent dissolution of all APC party executive positions in the state.

He added that the executives should face pressing issues before it rather than chase shadows by attacking groups that are in no way a threat to the well being of the party.

The group further commended the leadership of the party in Lagos state and Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, for appointing Dr Muyiwa Gbadegeshin as the Director-General of Lagos State Waste Management Agency (LAWMA), adding that another talent has been discovered for Lagos State.

Oyo State APC Reformers also thanked the Senate under the leadership of Senator Ahmed Lawan for delaying their annual vacation to expedite the screening of minister designates and appealed to President Muhammadu Buhari to assign one of the top ministries to the Oyo state Ministerial designee in order to maximize his capacity to rebuild and reorganize the party in Oyo State.
