Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Oluyole Federal constituency, Mrs Tolu Sadipe has lauded the federal government’s homegrown initiative in rice production as a credible step towards engendering food security and revenue generation.
Sadipe especially said the commitment of the current federal government towards diversification away from oil to agriculture and enhancement of the agriculture value chain was bound to uplift the nation economically.
Towards boosting Agric production in Oluyole constituency, she noted that the 50 acres of land acquired, in collaboration with Dangote farms, for rice production was nearing harvest.
She noted that Nigerians at various levels were bound to reap from the spiral benefits of subscribing to the various production opportunities on the agriculture value chain.
Addressing her constituents, she assured of attracting quality and people-oriented projects to the constituency that will enhance their socio-economic life.
In their comments at the event, Chairman, Oluyole Local Government, Mr Abass Aleshinloye, remarked that Sadipe’s commitment was shown in the financial support given to 40 rice farmers to boost rice production.
Speaking, Chairman, APC, Mr Waheed Akinleye rallied support for Sadipe and other APC candidates noting that the party had recorded giant strides and was poised to ensure that Nigerians get more dividends of democracy once reelected, across all levels of government.
