The team handed down the order during a wrap-up session of their two-day supervision mission in the state and said it was aimed at making sure that there are no uncompleted or abandoned projects after the program winds up.
The team after their field inspection of some feeder roads and facilities constructed through its intervention program across the state, expressed satisfaction on the successes recorded by the State Coordinating office of Fadama lll additional financing and most importantly the farmer’s enthusiasm in the programme.
Unveiling their resolutions, the Task Team Leader, Dr Tunji Oredipe, enjoined the State Project Coordinator to set up a committee to monitor and supervise the activities at the Agricultural Equipment Hiring Enterprise at Omor built and equipped through the program for farmers to avoid sharp practices and ensure transparency and accountability.
Dr Oredipe, represented by Dr Mrs Victoria Agu, who commended the state for the feat, attributed the success story to what he described as strong political support from the state government.
The State Project Coordinator, Fadama lll Additional Financing, Mr Patrick Egbue, appealed for early disbursement of fund to avail farmers the opportunity of taking off at the right time.
Egbue, who noted that their main objective is to get the project delivered, assured their readiness to comply with the FG/ World Bank recommendations and corrections.
