FG should conduct verification exercise of all civil servants

It will be a wonderful and exciting moment for unemployed Nigeria youths and their parents if President Bola Tinubu can mandate the Minister of Labour and Employment, Simon Lalong to conduct physical verification exercise of all serving civil servants so as to detect the ghost workers and age falsifiers in the Federal civil service.

If this is done, it will solve several problems of unemployment and insecurity facing this nation as many serving Federal workers who should have retired but have kept falsifying their ages every year would be forced to go home and rest.

The rate at which Nigerian youths are doing ‘yahoo- yahoo’ to make money is very alarming. Some of the yahoo boys are unemployed graduates. They want to work but there is no vacancy for them to apply. The youths who can’t do yahoo business have turned to dare-devil armed robbers while our female unemployed graduates have also turned to prostitute.

For me, there should be a national database for all the federal civil servants. The Federal Government can get to know whoever that is falsifying his or her age by engaging the foreign consultant to handle this by verifying records such the year of entry into primary school of each worker.

Many Nigerian graduates roam the streets looking for Job while those who are expected to leave the job for the fresh blood to move in keep falsifying their ages every year. No worker can do this in the United States of America and Great Britain.

The Federal Government of Nigeria should provide us jobs.
