The tripartite committee on national minimum wage has been approved by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and will be inaugurated on Tuesday, 30th January 2024, 12 noon, a letter addressed to the National President of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Comrade Ambali Akeem Olatunji, revealed.
Signed by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Sen. George Akume, the letter further stated that inauguration of the committee will hold at the Council Chambers, Presidential Villa State House Abuja.
It also revealed that a shuttle bus has also been provided to convey members of the committee from the villa pilot gate at 10am as members are expected to be seated by 11:30 am.
When contacted, a source in the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) President office confirmed the Congress received the invitation to the meeting as stated by the letter, and attendance of NLC members.
