FG invites Labour, others to minimum wage committee inauguration

The tripartite committee on the national minimum wage has been approved by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and will be inaugurated tomorrow, a letter addressed to the national president of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Comrade Ambali Akeem Olatunji, revealed.

Signed by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, the letter further stated that the inauguration of the committee will be held at the Council Chambers, Presidential Villa, State House Abuja.

It also revealed that a shuttle bus has been provided to convey members of the committee from the villa pilot gate at 10:00 a.m. as members are expected to be seated by 11:30 a.m.

When contacted, a source in the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) president’s office confirmed the congress received the invitation to the meeting as stated by the letter and the attendance of NLC members.
