THE acting head of service of the federation, Mrs Folashade Yemi-Esan, has said the multi-billion projects of the world-class cancer centre, Muhammadu Buhari Specialist Hospital, at Giginyu, is not common in most of the states of the federation.
Yemi-Esan said the centre is complex in nature and it is capital intensive.
She made the recommendations when she led a high power delegation including federal permanent secretaries, accountant-general and auditor-general of the federation to Kano for a 2020 procurement retreat, hosted by the state government.
During the visit, Dr Aminu Mohammad Bello Shamaki, said the decision to visit the cancer centre in Kano because of its significant importance to the lives of not only people in Kano but to Nigerians as a whole.

Yemi-Esan expressed appreciation to the Kano State government for taking the bold step in actualising this multi-billion project, which stands the test of time.
She described the projects as an indelible mark in the history of the state.
She further stressed that the cancer centre is not common in most of the state of the federation, because of its complex nature and it is capital intensive.
Earlier, in his welcome remarks, the commissioner for health, Dr Aminu Ibrahim Tsanyawa, represented by the permanent secretary, Dr Binta Umar Bala, commended the delegation, particularly the office of the acting head of service of the federation for the kind gesture.
