FG blames slow infrastructural development on paucity of funds

THE Federal Government has blamed the slow pace of works witnessed in some other road constructions and other infrastructural development embarked upon by the present administration of President Muhammadu Buhari as a result of the paucity of funds.

Mr Babatunde Raji Fashola, the minister of Power, Works and Housing a revealed this while speaking to newsmen on the sideline of the 5th edition of the top management retreat of the ministry ongoing in Sokoto.

He disclosed that, there is no state  in Nigeria that the present administration is not constructing a road or working on some infrastructure for the betterment of the people.

“As I am talking to you, there is no state across Nigeria that one form of construction, in terms of the road or other infrastructure is not ongoing or nearing completion,” he said.

Fashola also blame the delay in the budget passage as well as the shutdown of the  National Assembly  which he says distorted the borrowing plan of the Federal Government, as such a setback to the infrastructural development plan of the Buhari led administration.
