Chief Audu Ogbeh, Minister of Agriculture
AS part of its efforts to broaden the agricultural sector, the Federal Government of Nigeria has set machinery in motion for the development of the apiculture industry.
President Muhammadu Buhari made this known at the 6th APIEXPO Africa 2018 themed: “Beekeeping Industry for Sustainable Development, Wealth Creation and Economic Diversification” in Abuja.
Represented by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr Boss Gida Mustapha, Buhari noted that the government was building the capacities of bee-keepers and processors to develop the sector.

He noted that this would help strengthen linkages with regional and international corporations, especially in the cross-pollination of ideas.
In his remarks at the event, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Chief Audu Ogbeh, called on bee-keepers and processors to graciously work towards ensuring the finest standards are applied to the sector.
