FG approves appointment of NISLT, NARICT DGs

THE Federal Government, on Wednesday, approved the appointment of Mr Yemi Hezekiah as the new Director General/Registrar/Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Institute of Science Laboratory Technology (NISLT), Samanda, Ibadan.

It also approved the appointment of Professor Jeffery Barminas as the new Director General/Chief Executive Officer of the National Research Institute for Chemical Technology (NARICT), Zaria.

The appointment is for a period of four years each and renewable for another four years.

Gbadegesin’s appointment ,however, came after the former DG, Dr Ighoda Ijagbone, retired after a successful tenure.

He was a director in the agency before his appointment. He has since assumed duty.

Also, Professor Barminas’s appointment as the new NARICT DG came after the former DG, Professor I.M. Bugaje, retired after a successful tenure.

Before his appointment, Professor Barminas was a University lecturer. He has since assumed duty.

A letter signed by the Minister of Science and Technology, Dr Ogbonnaya Onu, a copy of which was obtained by the Nigerian Tribune in Abuja, wished them success throughout their tenure.
