Dr Ayoola Oduntan, taking the oath of office as President, Feed Industry Practitioners Association of Nigeria (FIPAN) during the official inauguration ceremony held at De'Rembradt Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos.
Dr Ayoola Oduntan has emerged as the new President of the Feed Industry Practitioners Association of Nigeria (FIPAN), vowing to tackle the sector’s pressing challenges.
He acknowledged the outgoing executives’ efforts and the founding leaders’ contributions during his inauguration.
As the leader, Oduntan emphasised the feed industry’s crucial role in supporting Nigeria’s livestock sector, which provides nutrition to millions.
Despite the industry facing rising raw material costs, inflation, and competition from illegal imports, Oduntan said he is committed to expanding feed production beyond poultry to support the ruminant and swine sectors.
To achieve this, he advocates for increased collaboration and partnerships to stabilize feed prices and make animal protein more accessible nationwide
Key Objectives of FIPAN includes: tackling raw material sourcing, regulatory alignment, and professional capacity building, urging strategic alliances with key agricultural associations among others.
With over 30 years of experience in the Nigerian poultry industry, Oduntan is well-positioned to lead FIPAN. His vision for the association includes driving forward the development and sustainability of Nigeria’s feed industry, a critical pillar of the country’s agricultural sector.
