Comptroller Aliyu Alkali has officially assumed leadership of the Nigeria Customs Service, Federal Operations Unit Zone B, Kaduna, succeeding Comptroller Ahmadu Bello Shuaibu.
The handover ceremony at Kangiwa House was well attended, drawing distinguished guests, retired colleagues, members of the press, and serving officers from the unit.
This was stated in a release issued by CSC Saidu Nuruddeen, the unit’s Public Relations Officer, and made available to journalists in Kaduna.
The statement noted that the outgoing Comptroller, Shuaibu, expressed gratitude and satisfaction at concluding his tenure on a high note, describing it as a “celebration of freedom” after a year of dedicated service.
He urged officers to extend to his successor the same level of cooperation that he had enjoyed.
He concluded by expressing his sincere appreciation to the Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, and his management team for the opportunity to serve.
The incoming Comptroller, Alkali, acknowledged the significant responsibilities associated with leading a unit that covers such an extensive area.
He pledged to build upon the existing foundation of peaceful and professional conduct in operations.
