Federal College of Animal Health and Production Technology, Moore Plantation, Ibadan, has trained 400 hundred participants registered for the 2019 vocational skills in poultry production.
The three days training, a leap is in the Federal Government agricultural scheme to ensure food security and job creation for youths, drew participants from different states of the federation to Ibadan for the vocational training.
Speaking during the graduation ceremony in Ibadan, the Provost of the college, Dr O O Adejinmi who expressed satisfaction at the cooperations of the participants also urged them to use the opportunity of the vocational training to positively build an enviable entrepreneurial future by contributing their quota to boosting the food security agenda of the Federal Government.
“It is my believe that all trainees that took part in the this vocational training have been adequately equipped to carry on with the business of rearing birds and fishes, processing the products and
packaging them for attractive markets.

In his remarks, the Director of Vocational Training of the college, Mr Banjoko O J thanked the Federal Ministry Agriculture and Rural Development who sponsored the training through Partnercom Nigeria Limited and Rrealyen Limited in collaboration with Federal College of Animal Health and Production Technology.
“The participants should regard poultry and fishery production as a very good business oriented enterprise, where you can make big money considering the population of the nation.
“All trainees given starter packs here today should have it at the back of their minds that they are trained to become employers of labour.”
