The competition, which was designed to engage, as well as reward the art community in a live art competition, staged five artists at FCMB, Sanusi Fafunwa Plaza, Victoria Island, Lagos State.
The competition, which also showcased the beauty of art, featured how the contestants explored their talents, as some drew in direct approach of clean lines and high contrast rendering. Some also employed bold or stark pen strokes to portray the values of the institution and others creating colorful renditions using vibrant oil paint.
However, the pieces were judged based on uniqueness and technique with the top two picks from Obi Chigozie and Abiola Sodiq, while the joint prizes from organisers and sponsor were handed out to all participants by Nigeria’s Foremost Graffiti Artist, Osa Seven.
According to the organisers, the sponsor is known for its culture of excellence and encouraging the emergence of fresh art talent, as one of the financial institutions in Nigeria, and one that has shown immense support for the promotion of Nigeria’s arts and culture since it partnered with the Eko tag platform.
