Fawehinmi becomes first Gbajeniyi of Egbaland

Chief Temitope Fawehinmi, was at the weekend conferred with chieftaincy title.

Fawehinmi, at the ceremony attended by an array of dignitaries from within and outside Nigeria, was bestowed with the first Gbajeniyi of Egbaland.

She was being conferred by the Alake of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo III in Abeokuta, Ogun.

The celebrant who was excited with the honour, thanked those who deemed him fit for honour.

She pledged to continue to work round the clock in giving her people a voice.

She said the honour showed she is being loved and appreciated by the people of Egbaland.

Fawehinmi, who assured the monarch that she would not relent in her efforts to be a blessing for the people of the Egba people passionately, assured them that the honours bestowed on her by the traditional rulers would be a wake-up call for her to do more for her people for the rest of her life.
