The Kogi State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Fanwo, has expressed sorrow over the untimely death of Mrs. Kehinde Adeiza, the wife of the Vice President of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (Zone D) and immediate past Chairman of the Kogi State Council of the NUJ, Comrade Adeiza Momohjimoh.
Mrs Kehinde Adeiza passed away on Wednesday morning after a prolonged illness.
The Commissioner, who described the late Mrs Adeiza as a consummate mother, said her demise would be felt deeply by the family.
“It is devastating and sad for someone to lose one of his trusted hands, especially a beloved wife who has been so supportive. May God comfort you, the children, and the entire family.
“Our hearts are with you at this trying moment, and the Chief Servant of Kogi State, His Excellency Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo also sends his deepest condolences over this unfortunate incident,” Fanwo said.
He urged the NUJ National Vice President to find comfort in the fact that his late wife lived a fulfilled life, urging him to accept the Ministry of Information’s heartfelt condolences on the death of his wife and hoped that his beautiful memories of being with her would bring him comfort during this difficult time.
“We pray to God to give the family the strength to bear the loss,” he said.
Mrs Adeiza has since been buried in accordance with Islamic rites.
