Famous Comedian, Acapella Bags International Deal with Amazon Prime

Award-winning Nigerian standup comedian, actor, and broadcaster, Bennet Chinedu Daniel, widely known as Acapella has bagged an international deal with global streaming platform, Amazon Prime Video.

The popular entertainer alongside other notable Nigerian humor merchants has been unveiled as a major actor in the Naija version of the “Last One Laughing LOL”.

Acapella, who has been ranked among some of the country’s successful comic stars, has toured major countries of the world and also performed on stage with some of the world’s biggest comedians. The creative and talented performer has continued to impress his fans across the globe, even with his annual comedy concert, “My Mic & I”.

Reacting to the new development in his career, the regular headliner on the comedy circuit revealed he is grateful to Amazon Prime and his teeming fans for their show of love; “I am excited to be a part of this global project, it is such an honor. A huge thank you to the entire Amazon Prime team, and my fans, you guys are the reason I keep pushing harder. Go stream it and have the best of entertainment and Nigerian comedy. Shout out to Basket Mouth” he said.

“Last One Laughing LOL” is a show where ten humorists are housed in a room and they have to do and say something that will excite them the first person to smile, giggle, or laugh will be given a yellow card (warning) and afterward a red card and will leave the house, one after the other. The winner gets a cash prize of N40m, which will be given to the needy.

Launched on Friday, July 14th, 2023, the Prime Video’s first unscripted African original ‘LOL’ will be hosted by ace comedian, Bright Okpocha, popularly known as Basket Mouth. Other humorists on the comedy show include; Buchi, O K Bakassi, Dat Warri Girl, Senator, Accapela, Gandoki, I Go Save, Kiekie, and Taaoma.
