Family raises alarm over missing 18-year-old girl in Ondo

Published by

The family of an 18-year-old girl, Stella Gabriel, has raised the alarm over the whereabouts of their daughter who had been missing for the past two weeks after leaving for an examination centre in Akure, Ondo state capital.

The whereabouts of the teenager have become a source of worry to the family after she was declared missing on August 15 2021.

Stella, who was a young secondary school leaver was declared missing on August 15, after writing an entrance examination at the Ondo State Schol of Health Technology, along Oda town in Akure.

Speaking on behalf of the family, the missing girl guardian, Mr Abass Babatunde Oladejo explained that Stella left home in Gods Own Estate, Araromi Phase II in Oba Ile in Akure North Local Government Area of the state for the examination on a fateful day but she never returned home since that day.

Oladejo said the incident was immediately reported at Ala Police station and findings revealed that the teenage girl sat for the examination, and was shortlisted for the interview.

He said all efforts of the security operatives towards unravelling the mystery behind the missing 18-year-old girl yielded no result and called on Ondo state residents Nigerians to notify security authorities if they have relevant information on his whereabouts.

“Stella went for an entrance examination into School of Health Technology on August 15 but she never returned home since then.

“We confirmed that she wrote the examination as she was shortlisted for the interview but we have looked everywhere for her without any success.

“Stella is a good girl and there was no disagreement or challenge to warrant her running away from home.

“I have reported to the Ala Police Station. They declared her missing. We made publications and all that. She is just 18 years old

“I want to appeal to anybody with useful information about Stella Gabriel whereabout not to hesitate to notify security authorities or family members”

If you have any helpful information about her whereabouts, don’t hesitate to call Babatunde Oladejo on 07035647244 or report at the nearest Police Station.
