Family of seven dies, nineteen others injured in Adamawa autocrash

Seven people have died and over nineteen were hospitalised as a result of a ghastly motor accident which occurred in Mayo Belwa Local Government area of Adamawa on Tuesday morning.

The accident involved a hummer bus And a Toyota starlet along Mayo Belwa Jalingo road.

Tribune Online confirmed that among the victims were father, wife and his four children who were on their way from Jalingo to Zamfara.

The remains of the dead  were deposited to Mayo Belwa General Hospital while the injured were taken to the same hospital.

A similar accident occurred on Monday in Mayo Belwa when a Sharon bus lost control and rammed into Bush along Mayo Belwa Yola road where six people died on the scene while three others sustained serious injuries.

Our reporter who visited Mayo Belwa General Hospital noted that most of the victims who sustained various degree of injuries were receiving medical attention.

Confirming the incident, the Adamawa State Sector Commandant of Federal Road Safety Corps, Mohammed Alhasaan that the bus going to Lagos had a direct head collision with a Toyota starlet headed for Zamfara, killing about 13 people in the bus and 4 people in the Toyota Starlet.

According to him, the sector command is still gathering information on the number of casualties from NURTW officials as his men were not on patrol at the time of the accident.
