Music star Falz
In the wake of the detention of Omoyele Sowore, popular rapper and singer, Falz, has warned the Federal Government to desist from making further arrest of Nigerians voicing their discomfort about the country, saying “this is the time to act not arrest.”
Falz has never hidden his feeling about the poor state of things in the country as he has continued to use his voice and music to address what he described as government’s nonchallant attitude towards loss of lives of many Nigerians.
Apparently worried by the arrest and continued detention of Sowore by men of the Department of State of Service (DSS) Falz said organising a protest did not amount to treason.
Sharing his view on his Instagram account, the singer, who is also the son of legal luminary, Femi Falana, insisted that the Federal Government had failed in its responsibility to address the killings of Nigerians, adding that the people have been neglected for too long.
In a statement released by the singer, he stated that what the people are facing is a result of many years of neglect of the welfare of the people.
“This is not a time to arrest anyone but to listen to the voice of the masses. Organising a protest march does not in any way amount to treason,” he said.
