Fallen heroes: Bauchi gov pays tribute, says Nigeria forever indebted

Bauchi State Governor, Sen Bala Mohammed on Wednesday charged Nigeria Armed Forces to be more resilience to safeguarding the sovereignty and integrity of the country.

The Governor was speaking after inspecting Guard of Honor mounted in honor of the Nigerian fallen heroes during the 2025 Armed Forces remembrance day held at the IBB Square cenotaph in Bauchi.

Mohammed lauded the sacrifices and contributions of the Armed Forces to the Security and stability of Nigeria as a Nation over the years which he said has continued to keep the country as one in spite of the setbacks.

He further called on the active service men and officers of the Nigerian Armed Forces to redouble their efforts in securing the Nation assuring them that their sacrifices will not be in vain.

Mohammed stressed that, “Today, at the 2025 Armed Forces Remembrance Day held at IBB Square, Bauchi, I had the solemn honor of paying tribute to Nigeria’s fallen heroes.”

According to him, “These courageous men and women made immense sacrifices and contributed unwaveringly to the security and stability of our great nation.”

Bala Mohammed added that, “As we remember their heroic deeds, I call on all active service members to remain steadfast and resilient in safeguarding Nigeria’s sovereignty. Your dedication and service are the bedrock of our nation’s peace and unity.”

“Furthermore, I urge everyone to continue supporting the families of our fallen heroes, ensuring they are not forgotten. Their sacrifices deserve our eternal gratitude and commitment,” he added.

The Governor prayed for the reposed of the Nigerian fallen heroes and appeal for more support to the families of the fallen heroes beyond the annual celebrations.

Governor Mohammed was accompanied by the secretary to the state government Hon. Aminu Hammayo, Chief of staff government house Dr. Aminu Hassan Gamawa along side the Emir of Bauchi, Dr. Rilwanu Sulaiman Adamu, Commissioner of Police Bauchi State, and heads of security formations and paramilitary services where also in attaindance.
