To celebrate the occasion, the Authority, in collaboration with Nigeria Environmental Society had organised a lecture on the theme of this year’s celebration “Beat Plastic Pollution, where the Managing Director, Mr Saleh Dunoma, ably represented by the Director of Engineering Services, Engineer Salisu Daura, reiterated the importance of of integrating human interactions in “our development plans in order to ensure a safe and healthy environment.”
While joining the global environment body to point attention to the challenges of plastic pollution coming from all facets of human activities, the FAAN’s boss pledged that the Authority would do everything possible to ensure that all plastic materials and other wastes generated around the nation’s airports are properly disposed to prevent the hazards associated with them.
He however, assured the public of a clean and safe airport environment just as it he pledged commitment to FAAN’s core values of safety, security and comfort.
