FAAN commissions automated car park at Lagos airport

Published by

In a bid to block leakages and boost its revenue base, the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has commissioned a state-of-the-art automated car park at the Domestic Terminal 1 of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos.

This is just as the authority has assured the traveling public of its commitment towards making air travel safe and secured during Yuletide despite the economic challenges.

The modern facility according to the FAAN management, was “uniquely designed to ensure that parking fees are paid at the payment booth before you exit the car park unlike the past when you pay at entry point.”

This facility which has a special billing system programmed to give the end user the exact amount for time spent at the parking lots, “will automatically eliminate long queues, reduce traffic, speed up passenger and vehicular movements at the landside of the Terminal and ensure seamless facilitation of passengers and airport users.

“This automation will key into President Muhammadu Buhari’s commitment to transparency in all revenue points of all Federal government Agencies to the Federal Government Treasury Single Account.”
