Ezekwesili to deliver lecture at Osun exceptional ladies conference

A former Minister of Education, Obiageli Ezekwesili will be delivering a lecture on ‘Fostering Female Leadership in Personal Development and Nation Building’, as the guest speaker at the maiden edition of Osun Exceptional Ladies Conference.

The event, organized by a women-promoting forum, Ladies’ Aspire, which will hold on April 6, 2024, at WOCDIF center, Osogbo, will have notable Nigerian women in attendance.

The forum will also be providing free medical outreach for residents of the state as part of the program.

A press statement by the Chairman of the forum, Mrs Folasade Oluyemisi Omole, noted that apart from Ezekwesili, Mrs Funke Felix-Adejumo, on Thursday, said the conference will accord the participants an opportunity to discuss career-changing opportunities.

Omole while urging Osun women to make it a date, said the conference would allow the participants to meet successful and like-minded women.

She said, “We want women from Osun to network and team up together, help themselves, and share challenges and successes.

“The ultimate thing is to help every woman to be exceptional in whatever field they found themselves.”

She, however, appealed to all women in the state to ensure that they attend the conference.

Also speaking, a renowned clergy,Pastor Segun Oduyebo said the conference was aimed to establish mentorship that enable young women interact with women of substances on issues that change lives.

Oduyebo, who is the owner Destiny Development Initiative said: “With this project, we aim to establish a mentorship program that enables young women to have an opportunity to interact with established women leaders and receive valuable guidance, as well as networking opportunities where women from diverse backgrounds will have the opportunity to connect and build lasting relationships.
