THE National Teachers’ Institute Kaduna has said they were extending this year’s academic programme of the institute because of their resolve to reposition the institute.

This was contained in a statement issued to the Tribune Online on Wednesday and signed by the Director-General and Chief Executive, Professor Garba Dahuwa Azare.

According to the release, NTI is determined to ensure it has produced quality students that can march up with the   best international   standards.

While highlighting the significant impact of the MoU the Institute signed with the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) recently, the Director General emphasized that the admission and registration process into all the programmes of the institute were still open until the 31st of May 2017.

Azare further added that all the programmes offered by the National Teachers’ Institute were duly approved by the relevant bodies, stressing the institutes readiness and capability to mount and execute training workshops for states which may wish to use its services to upgrade and update the capacity of their teachers.

It would be recalled that the National Teachers’ Institute recently launched a new portal, www.nti.edu.ng, for applicants and students of the Institutes NCE, ADE, Bachelor’s degree and PGDE where payments can be made through any commercial bank or the Remita platform.

Students and applicants were urged to use the opportunity of the extension to apply or register for the programmes on or before the May 31st, 2017 deadline, the statement concluded.
