All three explosions happened just meters away from the headquarters of the APC Secretariat along Aba-Port Harcourt expressway with security men on ground describing the explosives coming from Dynamites.
An eyewitness at the scene told journalists that the third explosion which happened in front of the APC Secretariat was dropped by some persons from an ash colour Toyota Camry car.
He said the impact of explosives forced open the doors of another car trying to pull over from the road when the incident occurred adding that on noticing what happened rushed into his car and zoom off.

There was no serious damage or injury resulting from the three explosions which some of the APC members loyal to the Chibuike Amaechi faction of the party alleged to be the handiwork of the members of the Sen. Magnus Abe faction.
Meanwhile, the two factions of the party are holding parallel governorship primaries in the state, as well as that of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
While the Amaechi faction of the party was hoping their primaries using the Indirect Primaries model, the Sen. Magnus Abe group was using the Direct Primaries.
As at the time of filing in this report, journalists were being accredited for the primaries of the Amaechi led faction while that of Sen. Abe was being done at the various local government of the state.
The governorship primaries of the PDP, expected to be an affirmation of Governor Nyesom Wike was being held at the Civic Centre, Port Harcourt.
