Expenxive set to release his debut project, First of All the EP

Lagos State based artiste, songwriter and record maker, Expenxive is set to release his debut extended play. The EP which is titled “First of All,” is slated for release on February 21 across all digital stores.

The six track EP has singer Adebowale as the only featured artiste with prolific producer PTD and Lord working on the tracks.

The artiste stated that the EP was “an opportunity of passing messages in the form of Expressing My reality, my  thoughts through sounds ”.

Abdullahi Adebayo Adeyemi who goes by the moniker Expenxive was born at Fagba in Lagos State however he was originally from Igbo Ora, Oyo State. His childhood which was split between Lagos State and Ogun State had him listening to music from Ebenezer Obey, Olamide, Wizkid, Burna Boy and others. The music from these legendary artistes served as the foundation for his interest in music later. Right now, his music is a blend of these greats with quantum input from his creativity and talent.

At the end of his secondary school education, Expenxive went to Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta to study Accounting. He has released songs like “Makanju,” Love Language,” and “Danger.”

It will be recalled that “Konra,” the lead single for this project, was released on May 18, 2024. In the song, he bemoans people’s inconsistency and attitude to life. The free flowing song has over a thousand streams on Spotify.

When asked why the the timeline between the lead single release and the release date for the EP was one year, he said 

“I Waited for the right timing to deliver & making these projects complete is a blessing to me”.

With the release of the EP, Expenxive looks to create more genuine & intentional music and have a great impact in the entertainment industry worldwide.

When released, ”First Of All,” EP can be streamed on Spotify, Audiomack, Boomplay, YouTube Music and others.
