EXCLUSIVE: Natasha, 2Baba set to formalise union as wedding hints drop

..traditional marriage to hold before end of the year

Despite growing disapproval of their romance amid the marital crisis between Afrobeat legend 2Baba and his estranged wife, Annie Idibia, his new partner, Natasha, may have hinted that wedding bells are ringing sooner than expected.

Tribune Online observed that the pair recently visited popular Abuja-based clothier Seyi Vodi, and Natasha, seemingly unaware that cameras were rolling, casually asked when the wedding dress would be ready.

The slip has since set tongues wagging, fueling speculation about their impending nuptials.

2Baba and Natasha’s relationship has been a subject of intense public scrutiny, with many questioning the timing of their affair, especially as Annie Idibia remains vocal about her struggles in their marriage.

Annie, who has had a long and complicated history with the singer, has not publicly reacted to the latest development.

However, insiders say that Natasha has not only become a fixture in 2Baba’s life but is also determined to take their relationship to the next level.

“She’s not here to play. She wants to be the legal Mrs. Idibia, and from all indications, she might get her wish soon,” a close source disclosed.

What remains uncertain is whether the union will have the full backing of 2Baba’s family.

His mother, in particular, is said to be strongly opposed to the relationship and has reportedly vowed not to give her blessing to the marriage.

Family sources claim she remains supportive of Annie and believes Natasha’s presence is causing further division.

Despite the opposition, 2Baba appears unfazed. The music icon, known for his calm demeanor, has yet to make any public statement about his wedding plans. However, those close to him suggest he is resolute in his decision to move on with Natasha.

While some fans are excited about the new romance, others see it as a betrayal of Annie, who has stood by 2Baba through the ups and downs of his career and personal life.

Another major concern among critics is the emotional toll on the children involved. 2Baba shares multiple children with Annie, and many fear the ongoing drama could have a lasting impact on them.

Sources close to Annie say she has left rehab and is now focusing on her children and career, refusing to be drawn into further controversy.

Meanwhile, Natasha appears to be embracing the spotlight, subtly dropping hints that she is ready to become Mrs. Idibia.

Her confidence suggests that plans are in motion, and with her wedding dress inquiry now out in the open, all eyes are on 2Baba to make the next move.

Industry insiders speculate that a traditional wedding may be in the works before the end of the year.

However, with strong opposition from 2Baba’s family, it remains to be seen how smoothly the process will unfold.
