Yusuf Suleimann
Hajiya Fatima, the mother of the former minister of transport, Alhaji Yusuf Suleiman, has died in the early hours of Saturday.
She died at her matrimonial home in Sokoto at the age of 91.
Her funeral prayer which was conducted at the Sultan Bello Mosque, Sokoto, was led by the Chief Imam of the Mosque, Sheikh Shehu Malami Akwara.
The prayer was attended by the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Saad Abubakar; Police Affairs Minister, Alhaji Muhammadu Maigari Dingyadi; former Defence and National Security Adviser, retired General Ali Gusau; Senators Ibrahim Gobir, Adamu Aliero, as well as, former Senators Ahmed Sani Yariman Bakura, TijjaniYahayya Kaura and Abubakar Shehu Tambuwal and other members of the national and state assemblies.

Others include former Adamawa State governor, Bindow Jibrilla; APC gubernatorial candidate, Alhaji Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto, as well as former deputy governors of Sokoto State, Alhaji Chiso Dattijo Abdullahi and Ahmed Mohammed Gusau.
The funeral prayer was also attended by thousands of relatives and other sympathisers, among others.
The deceased is survived by Alhaji Yusuf Suleiman, his younger sister, Aisha, several grand and great-grandchildren.
