The Agbaakin of Ogbomoso Land, immediate past Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Chief Sunday Dare, has commiserated with the Olubadan-in-Council, Oyo State Government, the Oyo State Traditional Council and the entire people of Ibadan land over the passing of 42nd Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Dr. Mohood Lekan Balogun, Alli Okunmade II.
In a statement released on Friday, the Agbaakin of Ogbomoso Land described Oba Dr. Balogun as a wonderful father and loyal servant to the crown whose unwavering service and dignified presence will be missed.
“My deepest sympathy to the Olubadan-in-Council, Oyo state government, the Oyo State Traditional Council and the entire people of Ibadan land over the passing of our Royal father and the 42nd Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Dr. Mohood Lekan Balogun, Alli Okunmade II.
The whole of Oyo State and Nigeria will miss his unwavering service and dignified presence. His dignity and grace were unmatched. He was a wonderful father and loyal servant to the crown.
He served his people with pride and honour, for he will be greatly missed. Baba has joined his ancestors. May God forgive his shortcomings and grant him peaceful rest”.
