UNITY among Muslims is critical to achieving cohesion and intra-faith cooperation for growth and development.
The Baba Adini of Yorubaland, Alhaji Sarafa Tunji Isola, made the assertion while receiving a delegation of the Ogun State chapter of the National Council of Muslim Youth Organisations (NACOMYO) in Abeokuta, led by the deputy state coordinator, Alhaji Hassan Dagunja.
The one-time Minister of Mines and Steel Development stated that unity, as a hallmark of Islam, was required among Muslims in advancing the cause of their religion.
He stated that it was high time Muslim faithful jettisoned the lust for ephemeral things and embraced the ideals of Islam for their betterment in this world and the hereafter.
Alhaji Isola, who expressed the need for Muslim leaders to rededicate themselves to the principles and ideals of the religion, commended NACOMYO for what he called their untiring efforts and charged them to remain focused.
The NACOMYO delegation had visited Alhaji Isola to rekindle his support for the group and for the Hijrah rally coming up later in the year.
The organisation’s National President, Alhaji Kamal’deen Akintunde, who was part of the delegation, commended the former Secretary to the Ogun State Government for his service to Islam and support for the Ummah.
