Ex-Kogi speaker praises Yahaya Bello on 49th birthday

Former Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Prince Matthew Kolawole, has extended his heartfelt felicitation to the immediate past Executive Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello CON, on the auspicious occasion of his 49th birthday anniversary, describing him as a leader with a large heart.

In a message he signed and made available to newsmen in Lokoja, former Governor Yahaya Bello wrote his name in gold when he had the opportunity to serve the state for eight years.

“I am one of his benefactors, and from nowhere, I was favoured to lead the 6th and 7th Assembly of the Kogi State, hence giving me the opportunity to be the longest-serving speaker of the assembly to date.

Your Excellency, you have proved to be a leader who truly loves his followers; no doubt your giant achievements in the state will continue to speak for you on a day like this.”

He said the 6th and 7th Kogi State House of Assembly under his watch worked closely with the former to make laws that have contributed to the overall development of the state.

He said the former governor would remain his godfather politically, hence his loyalty to his leadership will continue to be intact, and he prayed that God would grant him a long life, good health, and prosperity to continue to live a worthy life.
