SURAJUDEEN Balogun who was once convicted for impersonation and fraud-related offences has again been arrested by the men of the Ogun State Police Command for the same offence.
He was arrested last Saturday while impersonating trying to defraud a woman through a social media platform, on the pretence that he was a Director of Finance in one of the State government ministries.
The command image maker, Abimbola Oyeyemi, in a statement said the ex-convict, had earlier defrauded one Bimpe Akinmade, of a sum of N950,000, on the pretence that he was a staff of the Nigeria National Petroleum Company (NNPC).
He was said to have asked the victim to borrow him the said amount to secure the release of his brother detained at Ibara Prisons in Abeokuta.
Having collected the money from the victim, he (suspect) blocked her on the social media.
Balogun was said to have been arrested, charged to court and later sentenced to prison.
However, luck ran against him while he was trying to defraud another victim on the same medium, not suspecting that his next victim is a police officer, who was playing along with him until his arrest.
