EUC Homes launches premium estate in Lagos, vows to end homelessness by 2027

THE daunting task of tackling the menace of homelessness in Nigeria is gradually moving away from being a dream to reality.

Real estate development firm, EUC Homes, has launched a new premium estate in Oworonshoki, a suburb of Nigeria’s commercial capital Lagos state.

The Public Relations Officer of the firm, Mr Babatunde Adeniran, in a statement released on Tuesday, said The Third Mainland Courts located at the Oworonshoki shoreline was part of the company’s plan to end homelessness in Nigeria by 2027.

According to Mr Babatunde, The Third mainland court would be a haven providing the security of a genuine Supreme Court title document and proposed top notch infrastructure and amenities befitting the luxurious landscape.

He said that firm had also established the EUC Homes Foundation which would come up with guides, publicise successful strategies that will inspire a sustained and strategic philanthropic response to homelessness, hunger, and illiteracy.

The statement said, “As we unveil this masterpiece, making dream homes come true is incomplete without making the homeless feel at home we therefore urge you to give back to the community in the little ways possible while maximising this strategic location for your residential, commercial, educational, institutional or recreational purposes for the most beautiful home experience and guaranteed return on investment.”

The Public Relations officer also emphasised the funding of the foundation would be boosted by one per cent of the proceeds from the new estate adding that although the property is very affordable, one per cent of proceed would be spent towards the foundation.

He said, “The foundation has the mission to enhance lives of the homeless giving them a feel of home by addressing their basic needs through charity events and providing educational support within and outside its base. In line with this, it offers mentorship and donations to schools, homeless men, women, and children of all ages and has recorded two beneficiaries so far including the Victoria Golden Gate School, Ilasamaja Lagos State.

EUC Foundation was launched on June 24, 2017. During the inauguration in Ajah, Lagos state, the foundation shared food items to the less privileged. The Foundation has also proposed monthly events, which would go a long way in eradicating homelessness.
