Etihad Airways appoints Nigerian to manage activities in Nigeria

Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, has appointed a new General Manager to manage its activities in Nigeria.

The unique thing about the appointment is that the airline has announced Nigerian-born Ailende Okoromu as the new general manager for Nigeria.

With the appointment, Okoromu is  returning to Nigeria from Tanzania where he has been the country manager.

Following his latest appointment, he is expected to oversee all commercial activities in the Nigerian market.

Okoromu who joined Etihad Airways in 2012, had previously  held the post of Nigeria sales manager before moving to assume the country manager role in Tanzania. He is said to have considerable experience and knowledge of the African aviation industry, serving business and corporate customers.
