An estate surveyor and valuer, ESV. Johnbull Amaeyaevbo, who was also a participant in the Senior Executive Course (SEC) 46 of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NPSS), has pledged to pay the West African Examination Council (WAEC) and National Examination Council (NECO) fees for five students of Edo-Delta origin annually.
The estate surveyor and valuer who disclosed this during the end-of-year get-together and sent forth some members of the Edo-Delta Association at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru, Plateau State, said the payment of the examination fees will commence from 2025.
He added that the scholarship will also include the payment of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) fees for students aspiring to study estate surveying and valuation at any of Nigeria’s tertiary institutions.
In his welcome address, the association’s chairman, Mr Ekhosuehi Nosakhare, expressed heartfelt appreciation to members and guests, including representatives from the Policy, Strategy, and Leadership Course 52 of Edo-Delta origin.
He pointed out that the gathering served as an opportunity to reflect on achievements and chart a brighter future for the association, adding that parts of its objectives include fostering love, unity, and the promotion of Edo and Delta states’ cultural heritage.
A major highlight of the event was the presentation of Awards of Excellence to eight distinguished participants of SEC 46, including ESV Johnbull Amaeyaevbo and Dr. Mrs. Evelyn Ikuenobe-Otaigbe, who were conferred with the honorary titles of Patron and Matron, respectively.
Pioneer members who have upheld the association’s values over the years. Dr Kingsley Ozele and Dr Osime Samuel were honoured as patrons of the Association, while Mrs Felicia Edokpolo, who retired recently from the National Institute, was honoured with a parting gift for her unwavering dedication and commitment to the growth of the Association.
In his remarks, Dr. Kingsley Ozele traced the association’s history, highlighting its resilience over two decades, and commended the late Director-General of the National Institute, Gen. Martin C. Osahor, for providing a strong foundation for the association.
The event, which was held in honour of Senior Executive Course 46 participants, was marked by camaraderie and a renewed commitment to community development, with a resounding show of unity, recognition, and generosity.
