Environmental safety responsibility of all Nigerians ― Former FRSC boss

Published by

The first national executive coordinator of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Major Rasaki Salawu (rtd) has charged Nigerians to join stakeholders in creating a safe environment for all.

He said this during his induction into the fellowship of the Environment and Safety Management Institute (ESMI) held at the University of Ibadan International Conference Centre, Ibadan, recently.

According to him, his passion for a safe environment led to the idea of the establishment of the FRSC.

Major Salawu, who also inspired and established the Oyo State Road Safety Corps, pledged to continue to contribute to the safety of the environment with his practical experience in safety issues.

He added that being a fellow of the institute will serve as a challenge for him to do more in ensuring the safety of the environment.

He said, “I am delighted to be a member of the institute. I will task my brain towards handling things that have to do with humanity.

“We know where to start from when it comes to things that have to do with the environment. As a person, I would task myself on how  to give support to the community and government in terms of safety of the environment.”
