Enugu gov woos Igbo industrialists for investment

GOVERNOR  Ifeanyi  Ugwuanyi  of Enugu State has called on Ndigbo industrialists within and outside the Igbo enclave to come and invest in Coal City State, saying that the quest to attain rapid development and socio-economic recovery remain his top priority.

Ugwuanyi, who stated this at the weekend when he went round the “Heliu Residences Estate” on Enugu/PortHarcourt Expressway with the state Commissioner for Lands and Urban Development, Mr Solomon Onah and the Fit Consult company’s officials led by its Chief Executive Officer, Chief Loretta Aniagolu, to ascertain the extent of work done on the estate, said the project underscored the usefulness of synergy and cooperation between the government and private sector in the development of a nation.

The governor expressed satisfaction with the level of commitment exhibited by the state government’s partners (Fit Consult Ltd) towards the timely delivery of the project, saying that he had no doubt that the venture would go a long way in his administration’s genuine efforts to addressing the housing needs of the people.

According to him,  “The  project further underscores the usefulness of synergy and cooperation between government and the private sector in the quest for the rapid development of the state as well as the improvement of the lives of our people”, he added.

“I am using this opportunity to call on Ndigbo, individuals and organisations in the private sector both at home and abroad to emulate this worthy example and also join hands with government to advance the frontiers of development in Enugu State”, he added.

While speaking, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Fit Consult Ltd, Chief  Aniagolu said that the N13 billion project would afford the people decent accommodation, adding that the 1,177 homes will have 24 hours water and electricity supply with paced concrete roads, hospital, school, parks and greenery, shopping mull, waste management. recreational facility, security, among others.  She lauded Governor Ugwuanyi for giving her the opportunity to embark on the business venture, stressing that the project is already at  its advanced stage.
