Entries open for the 2024 Zuma film festival

SUBMISSION of entries for the 2024 Zuma Film Festival (ZUFF) themed ‘Digital Renaissance: Embracing the Future’ opened on August 1 and is ongoing till October 10.

A statement from Brian Etuk, Director of Public Affairs of the Nigerian Film Corporation, which organizes the festival with the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), highlighted some conditions for entries to be considered for the award categories.

The entries must have been produced between September 1, 2022 and September 30, 2024. They must include genre, producer, director, country, language, year of production/release and a 30-second trailer. All entries must be submitted through the film freeway platform: https://filmfreeway.com/zumafilmfestival.

The award categories for the ZUFF, which will be held from December 1 to 5 in Abuja, include Best Picture, Best Cinematography, Best Director, Best Animation/Cartoon, Best Actress/Supporting Actress, Best Actor/Supporting Actor, Best Documentary, Best Foreign Film and Best Student Film.

The other categories are Best Sound, Best Costume, Best Indigenous Films (Hausa, Yoruba, Igbo and other indigenous film), Best Short Film, Best Skit, Best Music Video and Best Special Effects.
