Engage in skills acquisitions, no more white-collar jobs ―Kazaure

THE Director General National Youth Service Corps Brigadier General Sulaiman Zakari Kazaure said time has gone for a graduate to wait for a white-collar job.

 

The DG made the disclosure yesterday while addressing 2017 batch B, stream II orientation course held yesterday at General Yakubu Gowon NYSC Camp Dutse Jigawa state urged the Corps members‎ to engage themselves on skills acquisitions to be self-employed after their service year.

Brigadier General Sulaiman Zakari advice patriotic corps members to embrace Agricultural as the present administration made lucrative business.

According to him “in the present situation in this country, your first class or any good result would not give you any white-collar jobs”.

“I expect you to dedicate yourself to supporting federal government’s plan to revolutionized Agricultural sector to create job opportunities for our teeming youth in the country,” he said.

He said the NYSC as a symbol of Nation’s unity urged them to create a good rapport with community members in their deployment area.

The DG also urged the corps members to exhibit the highest level of loyalty, dedication, discipline and commitments to Jigawa state and the Nation in general.

Also Speaking, the Jigawa state governor Alhaji Muhammad Abubakar Badaru who was represented by the state head of service Alhaji Inuwa Tahir called on the corps members to take very good care of tree seedling planted by batch A stream II as the effort will help the state government to fight desertification in the state.

The governor then assured more security to the corps members and urged them to abandon any ‎past unhelpful conducts and disposition.
