Enforce court order, stop my persecution, Maina tells EFCC

THE embattled Chairman of the Presidential Task Force on Pension Reform, Mallam Abdulrasheed Maina has asked the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission to enforce the Federal High Court order stopping his unjust prosecution.

He has accordingly, called on the president and founder, Human Rights Radio and Brekete Family, Ordinary Ahmed Isah, to intervene in the case between him and the EFCC, ensuring that his long protracted and unjust persecution since December 2012 is brought to an end.

Maina who was the chairman of the disbanded PRTT spoke through his Media Aide, Aliyu Musa who visited Brekete family, to ask for support in ensuring that his fundamental human rights are enforced.

He explained that the decision to involve the Human Right organisation was based on its recognition that it fights just course.

The PRTT boss who pleaded with Brekete to help halt his continued persecution and humiliation by the EFCC enjoined the right group to investigate thoroughly in other to uncover the truth.

While appealing to the right group to ensure the enforcement of a recent court order which barred the anti-graft agency  and other bodies from further harassing Maina and or declaring him wanted,

Maina lamented that despite securing five judgements in his favour,  he has been subjected to suffering,  untold hardship and persecution under a “Democratic governance”.

A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja had stopped the EFCC from declaring Mallam Abdulrasheed Maina wanted, declaring that EFCC went against section 41 and 42 of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act (ACJA) 2015  as the judge, argues that the EFCC has no right to declare Maina wanted without an order of a court

The Maina’s media said: “A sincere person, Maina have decided to run to you with the believe that you will work hard to halt this injustice meted out to him by digging deep into this mess, uncovering and exposing the real issue as well as educating Nigerians  about the intrigues playing out as against what is being peddled in the news media.

“The Pension thieves have the financial muscle to control what some media houses report. We should ask questions about the whereabouts of the whopping sums and properties uncovered, recovered and handed over to the EFCC and others hunting Main a today'” he said.

Musa specifically said, “I am here to tell Nigerians to disregard the lies told about Maina and to inform them that Abdulraheed Maina did not steal a dime of the pension fund or any other such funds, because he never received budget nor a dime”.

He was only working on papers and never handled cash so how could he have stolen? I state categorically that the cabal is afraid that Maina may expose them. Can we know why 42 out of the 43 Pension suspect arrested in 2012  are not to be convicted?

“This is purely a case of corruption fighting back.  It’s no longer secret that pension thieves in cahoots with some senior staffers of the security agency are using the media to propagate lies. He insisted “
